The BDI Bank was founded by Don Pedro Rodr=guez Villacaas in 1974 as Industrial Development Bank, SA was authorized to operate by the Monetary Board through the Sixth Resolution of 30 May of that year. In March 1975 it began operating under the legal framework which gave the Law 292 of 30 June 1966 on Financial Companies Companies that promote economic development. Beginning in 1988, the Bank expanded its business philosophy, successfully developed the areas of Private Banking and Corporate Banking, which are predominant today.
