Mendoza-based bank Banco Regional de Cuyo was acquired by Banco Supervielle, Argentina's sixth largest locally owned bank, in September 2008. The country's central bank BCRA approved in 2010 the purchase, which will add 21 branches and 60 ATMs to Banco Supervielle's network. Banco de Cuyo was previously controlled by the local Lpez family
