The Bank of the Rio Grande, N.A. was originally chartered in April 1985 by Ruidoso Bank Corporation. In January 2012 the Bank was acquired by Strategic Growth Bancorp, a well-capitalized independent Southwestern banking company with board members who are business people also from the Southwest. The Bank emphasizes strong local management and state-of-the-art technology systems that provide the highest quality service and products for its clients. The Bank has been approved by its regulators to expand statewide and is opening a full service Albuquerque office.
