First Federal Savings and Loan in Alpena was founded in 1957 by eleven community leaders who risked their own savings to provide residents of Northeast Michigan with a place to save their money and to borrow for the purchase, repair, or modernization of residential property. Times have changed some, and we've grown. Now known as First Federal of Northern Michigan, we continue to add new products and services to meet the needs of our communities. Through our branch network, we offer consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending.
