Fisherman's Rest employs 60 staff engaged in development programmes and tourism. Our visitors are introduced to villages where they meet the community, help repair handpumps, learn to make cooking stoves from local materials or plant seedlings in village tree nurseries. There are many wonderful walks in the surrounding forests and mountains. We support a number of schools and we encourage guests to give some quality time to students eager to improve their reading, writing, IT skills, art, craft, and music. We arrange visits to African Parks, Mulanje Mountain, the tea estates and Lake Malawi
