New Omni Bank, N.A., a national-chartered FDIC insured bank, opened for business in Monterey Park, California in 1979 in the name of Monterey Park National Bank. In serving the needs of customers throughout California, the Bank changed its name to Omni Bank in 1982. In 2011, a group of Chinese-American successful investors and professional bankers acquired the Bank and renamed it to New Omni Bank, N.A.
