In 2001, the idea for forming the Reid Temple Federal Credit Union (RTFCU) began with the vision from our pastor, Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington. The vision for Reid Temple AME Church is "Aiming to please through the 5 E's: Evangelism, Empowerment, Education, Economics and Expansion. Economics is defined as flowing in financial prosperity according to God's wealth principles.
